If you cna’t have a watch made from 914 parts, the next best thing is a watch made out of Porsche 911 parts, right? REC (recwatches.com) has created just that. The company recently released its 901 collection, which is said to use recycled metal from 911s that were beyond repair.
The watches don’t just use 911 metal. The watches also take styling cues from the classic car. For example, they feature grooves ridges on the side of the dial that are said to recall the rear grill of the 911, the numbers are in a Porsche font, and the imprint on the crowns mirror the early 911 steering wheels.
The watches sell for about $1,250, and can be purchased on the REC Kickstarter page.
