Yes, and No. The futuristic concept electric motorcycle that is getting a ton of press right now, is technically not a Porsche concept design. The work of art is actually a design exercise by industrial designer Miguel Angel Bahri.
Even though it is not a design out of Porsche, we can dream right? The concept takes its styling cues from the 911 turbo, 917, 918 & 919. The bike features Le Mans-style doors that reveal a luggage compartment, magnesium frame, and eight-inch touch-screen instrument panel.
The motorcycle is powered by a 288 mm engine putting out over 120 kw of power. Juice for the powerplant come from a 20KwH battery pack, which is located in the center of the bike for enhanced stability and turning capability.
You have to hand it to Bahri. The concept is so well thought out, and so on point for Porsche design, that it is easy to imagine the German company picking up the idea and running with it.
