We finished!
We made it to Fargo, North Dakota. On time, and still running. What were our impressions of the Great Race? Wow.
To be honest, I haven’t had time to digest the past couple of weeks. 9 days, and 2,300 miles, of following strict, detailed, tedious driving instructions, all day long, in a 50-year-old Porsche. Not-to-mention the nearly 150 other amazing cars and teams that we raced against.
I never imagined the rally would be so challenging. So intensely competitive. I, however, also didn’t think it would be so much fun. Part of me just wants to go home. The other part wants to start the race again tomorrow. Now, though, it is time to sleep.
