Chris plans to install an LS3 6.1 liter V8 in his 1976 914. By the looks of the craftsmanship so far, the car should be a work of art when he is finished. The metal work is outstanding. in the lower left picture you can see the attention to detail in making room for the V8, by cutting the lower portion of the firewall away.
Another area where Chris’ build shines is in the structural improvements, and adaptation to accomodate the larger engine. This car is going to be a sight to behold, in addition to a performer. For more information and photos about Chris’ build go to – fourteenermotoring.com

He has almost completed the tube chassis, with 996 suspension. The project is coming along well, and he is a worthy contendor to catch Chris.
Dion Ronio – 3rd Place in Round 1
Dion, from Audubon, California, took third place in Round 1 of the Build-Off. He has had to tackle considerabler rust repair as he readies the car for a 2.4 liter six-cylinder motor. Dion’s build thread on 914world is an inspiration for anyone undertaking rust in their 914. When finished, his 914 will certainly be a show piece.
