What would it take to create the fastest 914 ever built? This car may just be that 914. The race car sports a 2004 996 twin turbo, in the 962 configuration with 962 turbos. It puts out 800 horsepower. The 914 also has a tube frame with cantilever suspension, and perhaps the largest wing we have ever seen on a 914.

When the car was on the track at Road Atlanta, VIR, and Sebring, about 6 years ago, it pulled away from 962 with ease. It has been parked for a number of years. But, it is now out of storage and being brought back to life for historic races, exhibitions, and time trials, by Black Forest Racing.

It will be interesting to see what the car can do on the track once it is back up to speed. We will make sure to bring you more information as the story unfolds.
